The major goal of the childcare program is to support the growth and development of young children. Each child is given the opportunity to learn in a secure, loving home environment. We care for a small ratio (5 to 1) no more than 16 children as to better provide for each individual child's care and needs.
I also have loving Assistants, who are experienced and educated in Child Development. I do back ground checks on all my Assistants before I hire them, too. I do not consistently rotate Assistants they have been here from the beginning. This is GREAT for your children!
My home has a large outdoor play area and play structures. Along with a sand area, water table area, an outdoor art area, garden area, play house area, picnic area and a covered patio area for outdoor play and ride on toys in all weather conditions. At Kozy Kids the whole home is dedicated to the children.
Each child is treated as an individual with specific needs and interests. Comparisons with others are avoided. The child is encouraged to attempt projects, but the results need not be perfect. Whatever children accomplish on their own is worthy of recognition. Each child is given responsibility for completing projects on his/her own.
Each child is encouraged to respect the rights of others. Physical violence is discouraged. Children are instructed and encouraged to use words to solve problems. Children learn to be responsible for their own actions.
Good nutrition plays an important role in the health of your children and contributes to their mental attitude and behavior. At Kozy Kids, your child will be provided with well-balanced, nutritional meals, which include whole grains, fresh fruits, vegetables, and minimal juices (mostly Tang). A minimal amount of sweets are served. All snacks and meals are included in the childcare fee.
If your child will be arriving after breakfast or morning snack is served -- Please make sure your child has eaten at home before arriving. If they have not eaten and the meal/snack has already been served, they will have to wait until next meal/snack time to eat. For children under 2 years old, meals are on a more flexible schedule as they are not yet ready for certain meal times.
As a special gift at the end of each year (Jan-Dec.) I put together a DVD or book (if I don’t burn out my CD burner from so many copies), of your child. This is so you can see and share all the great moments he/she talks about while at Kozy Kids.
Every month I send out a statement that contains the days your Child is in my care, days that may be closed, events that are coming up such as Holidays, Birthdays, vacations, closures and payment reminders. These are great calendars to put on your Fridge. At the end of the year I send out an end of the year statement, this is for tax purposes.
